City Rentals roots were established in October 1978 when Larry McCourt left his position as a Corporate Controller with one of Canada's largest breweries and became a sales representative for a large scaffold supply company. His knowledge as a professional accountant enabled him to provide customers with a complete overview for their equipment rental and purchase requirements.

During the 1980's Larry was managing his own rental store and helped in establishing a network of rental outlets in the Greater Toronto and surrounding areas.

Today City Rentals is the result of over 25 years of experience at all facets of the equipment rental industry.
